What you think its look like hotel ? - but with a major difference. Instead of booking in guests in human form, Cornwall's newest hotel only takes chickens. It is big difference – instead of people, it offers accommodations for chicken. The aptly-named Chicken Hotel recently opened for business at Boskenwyn, Helston. The venture was set up to give chicken owners a place to check-in their birds while away from home.

David Roberts, a maths teacher who keeps his own chickens as a hobby, runs the hotel. He said: With more people looking to escape the rat race and move out in the country with a little bit of land, keeping chickens is becoming more and more popular.

I know it sounds like a joke, but this place is for real, and apparently it’s also very successful.

Each coop in the Chicken Hotel holds up to eight chicken and the current offer includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner of local produce, served in open-air. Guests are allowed to roam around the hotel grounds all day, before being gathered to roost at night. According to Mr. Roberts, the hotel was fully booked over Christmas time, and he hopes half term and Easter will be just as successful.

Half Zebra - Half Donkey Born In USA

A rare hybrid of a donkey and a zebra - called a zedonk - has been born in the US.

The foal emerged at a wildlife reserve in Georgia with a brown body, but black stripes running up its legs.

Donkeys and zebras don't normally breed in the wild, and even successful births in captivity are very unusual.

This is a first Zedonk to be born in the U.S but they have been born earlier too, as in the 1970 three Zedonk's were born in a European Zoo and in 2005 one Zedonk was born in Barbados.

In karachi on 23 july a baby boy born with four extra legs at a private hospital on Friday underwent a corrective surgery at the National Institute of Child Health.

Doctors had to operate upon the baby a few hours after his birth to remove the additional limbs.

During the surgery his four extra legs that he had probably taken from a conjoined twin who could not develop were removed and his intestines placed back into the abdomen.

The child is now admitted to the ICU, where his condition is still critical.

A woman gave birth to a baby boy with six legs at a maternity home in a Shah Faisal Colony locality.

A woman in Gilgit(Pakistan) gave birth to an unusual baby, resembling somewhat a cub in features, with his hands similar to the paws and red parallel lines running all over his abdomen.

Well over three kilograms in weight, the baby boy was born late Friday in the DHQ at Gilgit.

The couple hailing from NWFP apparently worried over the ‘incident’ looked all day at every visitor coming to see the ‘wonder’ of the nature and replied their queries patiently. “Yes we have four other children and all are normal,” said the couple. By mid-day, the hospital administration finally decided to stop any more visitors.

Dr Iftikhar Ahmed, a child specialist, currently treating the abnormal child had another story to tell. “The baby is simply affected by a skin disease medically known as Harlequin-type ichthyosis, nothing so unusual,” said the doctor, adding that he himself treated similar four such cases while he was in the PIMS. “Yes the chance of survival in such cases is very minimal, maximum up to a month,” he said. He said that for sheer lack of medical knowledge, people and media made a mountain out of a molehill by comparing the child with tiger and other wild animals.

He said that in such patients, the skin contains massive, diamond-shaped scales, and tends to have a reddish colour.

Dr Iftikhar said that this mutation makes the skin hard with thick scales. He said eyes, nose, mouth and ears are affected, often pulling the baby’s mouth wide open as in the case of the child admitted to the hospital in Gilgit. This hard skin, he added, does not keep moisture in, causing dehydration and disrupts the body’s ability to regulate temperature. It can also make chest movement and breathing difficult. In addition, the eyes, ears, mouth, and other appendages may be abnormally contracted.

Ukrainian artist Oksana Mas has created an unusual mosaic portrait of the Virgin Mary, using 15,000 painted Easter Eggs.It is so amazing.

Unveiled yesterday, inside the gorgeous Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, the giant mosaic weighs 2.5 tons and is made out of 15,000 wooden Easter Eggs. Oksana Mas started working on her masterpiece nine months ago, painting the eggs all by herself, but later children from all across the country got involved and helped out with the painting. The world's tallest building, rising up to 828 meters to touch the clouds, Burj Dubai, is now open for business!

Burj Dubai was opened today in a ceremony, celebrating the fourth anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum becoming Ruler of Dubai.

As Dubai struggles with the economic crisis, the 160-floor-skyscraper is seen as a window of opportunity to pick up things and attract more business.

Construction on Burj Dubai began back in 2004. It was developed by Emaar and constructed by Samsung Engineering & Construction.

The building will house 900 residences on floors 19 through 108. The observation deck is on Floor 124. Sky lobbies on Floors 43, 76 and 123 will have fitness facilities, swimming pools and Jacuzzis. It has a hotel designed by Giorgio Armani.

Scott’s 1985 Plymouth Colt can simply be described as HAM radio heaven. He has mounted HAM radios, police scanners and other video devices all throughout his vehicle and it’s really quite amazing how he can still find his way around them when he just needs to drive it.

The HAM radio enthusiast says it’s amazing what you can listen to when you’re inside his Radio Active Colt, but I fail to see how you can actually listen to anything when all those things are turned on. 27 -year-old Lucian Craita, from Romania, parted ways with his pet lion, Richie, after raising him in his backyard for over a year.

Lucian has always had always had a thing for lions and when he had the chance to buy one for a pet, from an animal market, he didn’t hesitate. Richie cost him just 1,000 euros and he never regretted spending the money. Over a year and a half of living together, Lucian and Richie developed a truly special relationship, so you can imagine the young man’s grief when he had to hand his pet lion over to the Vier Pfoten animal association.

The Romanian gave up his friend voluntarily, after realizing he couldn’t offer it the life it deserved. Now Richie will be taken to Lion’s Rock Lion Reservation, in South Africa, where he can be with his own kind. Because Richie spent so much time as a house pet, he will never be a real lion, but at least he’ll enjoy being free in the savanna.

Giuliano Stroe, a 5-year-old boy from Romania, has gotten himself into the Guinness World Records. His feat? Hand walking. Giuliano performed the fastest-ever 10m (33 feet) hand walk with a weight ball between his legs.

The boy, who showcased his skills on an Italian TV show, has become a YouTube sensation.

Giuliano has been training since he was 2 in the town in Italy where his family lives.

"He has been going to the gym with me ever since he was born. I always took him with me when I went training," the boy's father, Iulian Stroe, 33, told the paper.

Stroe insists his son's workout schedule isn't excessive.

"He is never allowed to practice on his own. He is only a child, and if he gets tired, we go and play."

The World's Smallest Snowman
You're looking at the tiniest snowman ever built. Well, it looks like a snowman, but this minuscule model about a fifth the width of a human hair is not made out of snow. It's constructed of two tiny tin beads that are usually used to calibrate an electron microscope, and welded together with platinum.

It's built by David Cox, a nanotech expert at the Quantum Detection Group of Britain's National Physical Laboratory. He's accustomed to working with such astonishingly small objects, and used his nano-particle manipulation tools to demonstrate the astonishing accuracy of his work.

Giuliano Stroe, a 5-year-old boy from Romania, has gotten himself into the Guinness World Records. His feat? Hand walking. Giuliano performed the fastest-ever 10m (33 feet) hand walk with a weight ball between his legs.

The boy, who showcased his skills on an Italian TV show, has become a YouTube sensation.

Giuliano has been training since he was 2 in the town in Italy where his family lives.

"He has been going to the gym with me ever since he was born. I always took him with me when I went training," the boy's father, Iulian Stroe, 33, told the paper.

Stroe insists his son's workout schedule isn't excessive.

"He is never allowed to practice on his own. He is only a child, and if he gets tired, we go and play."

The Savannah cat, Scarlett’s Magic is the new Guinness record holder for the world’s tallest cats. She is 18 months old and its length is about 17.1 inches from shoulder to toe.

The adorable pet is also awaiting the result of a second nomination for the world’s longest cat,from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail, but for now she and her owner, Kim Droper, are more than happy with the Guinness World Record for the Tallest Cat.

Scott Wade is a talented is a talented graphic designer, from Wimberley, Texas, who loves to get his hands dirty. He paints all kinds of pictures in the back of his and his wife’s car, using only his fingers, dust and a few brushes. From the Mona Lisa to the portrait of Albert Einstein, Wade has created a series of artworks that have often stopped traffic.

He says people often gather around their cars when they go out, just to admire the beauty and detail of his art. Some get out of their vehicles at a red light and take pictures of his car.

Mr. Wade doesn’t drive his cars on a dirt track to get it dirty enough. Instead he uses oil, a special kind of dirt and a hair dryer to spread it across the windows. This takes him about 10 minutes, instead of seven days of driving through the dirt.

Working with dust means his masterpieces are destroyed whenever it rains, but Scott Wade views that as an opportunity to create even more impressive artworks. You have to admit it’s a lot more impressive than writing “wash me” on a car window.

Meet Joby Mathew, he is the 33 year old athlete from Kerala, India who won the World Arm Wrestling title in Spain last year. Despite being several feet shorter than others at his gym, Mr Matthew is able to defeat opponents twice his size with ease at arm-wrestling.

Mr Matthew who is 3 foot 5 inch has severely under-developed legs, a condition caused by Proximal Fimoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD). But he has so much upper body strength that he is a world champion arm wrestler who can crush challengers with no disabilities.

Adam is one of the most unusual artists on the planet. He makes a living creating and selling artworks made from the carcasses of dead animals he finds around his house. He often cooks and eats the roadkill he finds, but what he can’t eat, he turns into fashion accessories or pieces of dead art.

So far he has created over 30 roadkill art pieces, including bags made out of the body of a fox or a deer, calf-skin rugs, feather hats and even framed carcasses. It’s not something I’d buy for my art collection (if I had one), but apparently people are crazy about this roadkill art. Adam Morrigan’s pieces start at a few thousand pounds, but he’s sold a few with as much as 50,000 pounds.

Yu Zhenhuan from China is the world's hairiest man with hair covering 96 percent of his body. Yu was diagnosed with a rare condition that causes hair to grow in places it normally shouldn’t. His situation worsened as he grew up and now almost his entire body is covered with long thick hair.

Sharing your bed with common pets like cats or dogs is so last year. Right now it’s all about big cats, and lots of them.

Riana Van Nieuwenhuizen thought she should do her part in saving cheetahs from extinction, so she bought one back in 2006. The 46-year-old South African left her job at the department of justice and found some temporary employment on a game ranch, where she could raise Fiela.

Now, Riana runs Fiela Funds Cheetah Breeding Project, a non-profit that fights to ensure the survival of cheetahs in their own ecosystem. Along the way, she also took in another 10 big cats, with which she often shares her bed.

Her four cheetahs, five white lions and two tigers are a handful, but Riana loves every one of them and puts up with all their naughtiness. Her 2 dogs have also grown quite fond of the felines and don’t mind snuggling up to them.

Amphibious Bicycle in China

Don’t know what you were expecting, but this is not some high-tech, revolutionary vehicle. It’s just an interesting home-made amphibious bicycle.

Li Weiguo is the man who designed and built this floating bicycle, and the girl riding it in the photos is his daughter Li Jin. His amphibious bicycle has eight water buckets that act as pontoons and adjustable vane wheels that provide the driving power. It might not look as good as other custom made bikes, but at least you can ride it on water and land alike, and that’s the whole point.

The amphibious bike was presented on May 30 2009, in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

This too-sexy-to-be-eaten bug with his/her sunglasses is actually a crop pest. Known as cotton stainers, these bugs feed on cotton and get crushed with it during harvesting. Their red bodies leave stains, which are hard to remove.

This stink bug is also found in Europe. Doesn’t its shield look like it is made of leather?

3.InSectHunter

This stink bug from Singapore looks like it’s carrying a gorilla-mask on its back.

4.Sheild Bug

These mini warriors have pretty smart warfare defences. Shield bugs, or stink bugs, have glands in their thorax (the part between the head and the abdomen) between their first and second pair of legs that produce a foul-smelling liquid, which is used for defense and released when the bug feels threatened.

5.Landersz

These firebugs seem to huddle together to discuss their strategy. They are common in Europe and are also part of the cotton stainer family. Their scientific name is pyrrhocoris apterus.

6.Barca Branca

In the photograph, this stink bug looks huge but it is only about 1 cm long in real life, making the markings on the mask all the more intricate.

7.Casperonian

This is a picture example of how the shield pattern resembles a face. Like a huge sign saying “don’t even think about it” to predators - including humans - this stink bug looks slightly grumpy, and for good reason. Just recently, scientists have discovered the nutritional value of edible stink bugs. They’re a good source of protein, fat, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Stink bug stew, anyone?

The world’s only pink Bottlenose dolphin which was discovered in an inland lake in Louisiana, USA, has become such an attraction that conservationists have warned tourists to leave it alone. Charter boat captain Erik Rue, 42, photographed the animal, which is actually an albino, when he began studying it after the mammal first surfaced in Lake Calcasieu, an inland saltwater estuary, north of the Gulf of Mexico in southwestern USA.

It might have been an ordinary enough town, if not for its extraordinary church.The inside of this church is decorated with artworks made of real human bones.The story begins in 1218, when a certain Abbot Henry made a pilgrimage to the holy land and brought back a jar full of soil from cemetery, which he spread over the Church.As a result the church came to be regarded as more sacred and turned into a popular burial spot .By 1318, more than 30,000 bodies were buried there and by 1511, it had become necessary to remove the older bones to make place for the new ones.These later became the material for the macabre creations. After a major storm or earthquake or other disaster, trees keep standing when even our strongest structures fall. So why not make a house out of trees?
Certain trees have bendable roots which can be grown in air, forming into shapes roughly resembling a house. The roots are then guided into soil and harden to create a solid structure. This can be supplemented by metal framing to create architectural spaces.
Looks like a cool idea, but I wonder if you lose the advantages of the tree once you add metal. And the tree bends, does it not? Not sure if you want a bending house.
At the very least, the park bench with built in shade from its included tree is a pretty cool idea.

In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.
The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother’s cubs, perhaps she would improve.
After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans’ that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops? Take a look…you won’t believe your eyes!!"
